Ever heard the Nursery rhyme, ‘Tick says the time tick tick; what you have to do do quick’? Or the popular statement that time waits for no one? How about ‘Do not do the right thing at the wrong time’? Have you ever heard that procrastination is the foundation of all failures? Or that the time is now? What about, “the bad news is time flies; the good news is you’re the pilot”? Or that “a man who dares waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life”? I tell you, a lot has been said about time, all pointing to its very importance. During my undergraduate days, one of our lecturers, Professor Ojebode once taught the class a poem by Robert Herrick. It goes this way, “Gather ye rosebuds while ye may; Old time is still a-flying; and this same flower that smiles today tomorrow will be dying”.
